Brinkman, PhD (Ursula)
Ursula Brinkman, PhD A psychologist by training, Ursula conducted research on language acquisition at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics before founding Intercultural Business Improvement with Oscar van Weerdenburg. Ursula focuses on diversity as a source of excellence in teams and on supporting clients in intercultural competence development. She has coached over 400 expatriates, has designed and delivered several integration programs for European mergers, and has delivered programs for Air France KLM, Bosch, Daimler, DEG, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ericsson, Global Affairs Canada, ING, NXP, Peterson & Control Union, Prénatal, and Siemens, among others. With Oscar van Weerdenburg, Ursula developed the Intercultural Readiness Check. In 2014, they published Intercultural Readiness (Palgrave). She served as board member of SIETAR Netherlands for six years, of which two as president of the association. In 2016, she received the Margaret D Pusch Founders Award by SIETAR USA. Ursula has been involved in two Erasmus+ funded projects, Catalogue of Intercultural Tools for VET (2018-2020) and European Certificate for Intercultural Learning Professionals (2020-2022), and is currently involved in the follow-up project ECILP Connect, funded by Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). -
Heera, S. (Shalini)
Shalini Heera has been working as a coach in the education field since 2016. She coaches teachers, teams, and management teams. She provides coaching through her own company as well as internally for the organization where she is employed. She does this in the cities of Amsterdam and Almere, where there is a high level of diversity. Shalini joined NOBCO, Intercultural Coaching Community of the Netherlands (ICC Netherlands) as a key person since 2025, providing and receiving inspiration and opportunities for knowledge sharing. -
Kaldewaaij, K.J. (Kai)
Kai Kaldewaaij is the founder of Weideheuvel Coaching, where he supports leaders navigating complex transitions through a reflective and globally informed approach. With a background in law and corporate finance, and professional experience across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, he brings a nuanced understanding of leadership in international and multicultural contexts. Kai joined NOBCO, Intercultural Coaching Community of the Netherlands (ICC Netherlands) as a key person earlier this year and is excited to contribute to deepening the practice of coaching across cultures. -

Rixt Kuiper, MA. Executive coach and leadership consultant, with over 20 years of international experience. She specializes in working with senior teams on transformational journeys. Rixt is the initiator and chair of the EMCC Intercultural Coaching Community (EMCC ICC).. -
Njeru, drs., E. (Elizabeth)
Elizabeth Njeru works in Leadership, Learning & Development, supporting people and culture through coaching, training, and strategy. Originally from Embu, Kenya, she has lived in the Netherlands since 2000, where she runs Global Career Support, her coaching and consulting practice. She coined the term “professionals who are from elsewhere — or who are seen as such” to describe the experience of those who refer to themselves, or are referred to by others as expats, internationals, highly skilled migrants, or professionals with a migration background. She also developed the HILMA model to support this group specifically. She is the initiator, co-founder and chair of the Intercultural Coaching Community of the Netherlands (NOBCO-ICC) for the Dutch Association for Professional
